I've been thinking about the word integrity lately for 2 reasons. A. because I need a project for integrity and B. just because I've been thinking about what my values are and what they mean to me.
I discovered that Integrity has a hidden word it it.
inteGRITy
GRIT. You have to have GRIT to stand to have inteGRITy.
Grit means unyielding courage in the face of hardship or danger
Integrity means the quality or state of being complete or undivided or firm adherence to a code of especially moral or artistic values
- You have to have grit to act with diligence but it takes integrity to act with endurance.
- You have to have grit to hold to the iron rod but it takes integrity to follow through and partake of the fruit.
- You have to have grit to stand up for what you know is right and it takes integrity to speak out to tell others what you know is wrong!
Here are some quotes about integrity:
"There can be no friendship without confidence; and no confidence, without integrity”
-Anonymous
“It's not what we eat but what we digest that makes us strong; not what we gain but what we save that makes us rich; not what we read but what we remember that makes us learned; and not what we profess but what we practice that gives us integrity.”-Sir Francis Bacon
“Integrity is what we do, what we say, and what we say we do”Question: Do anyone have an idea of what I should do for my Integrity Project? 2/5 Posts

“One of the truest tests of integrity is its blunt refusal to be compromised.”
-Chinqa Archebe
“Integrity is not a conditional word. It doesn't blow in the wind or change with the weather. It is your inner image of yourself, and if you look in there and see a man who won't cheat, then you know he never will.”-John D. MacDonald
